Welcome to the Bicycle Street Inn & Suites and Waterfront Collection, Mackinac Island’s newest full-service hotel. We have three buildings in our hotel campus, our main Bicycle Street Inn & Suites, Waterfront Collection North, and Waterfront Collection South, each offering a unique stay to fit your needs.
Bicycle Street Inn & Suites and Waterfront Collection consists of three beautiful hotels, supremely located on Main Street in downtown Mackinac Island.
The three properties feature 84 guest rooms and suites in all, many with walk-out balconies offering great views of Main Street and the beautiful Straits of Mackinac.
Our main building was thoughtfully built in 2013 using warm wood textures to give it a traditional yet updated look and feel. For our first two seasons, we had 36 rooms and an atrium shopping area. As demand grew for our brand of hospitality on the island, we added the 13 rooms of the Waterfront Collection North in 2015. Needing a change, in 2017, we remodeled our atrium, eliminating most of the shopping and added 7 rooms to our mezzanine level. But, we still didn’t feel complete. 2019 ushered in a new era for us when we opened the Waterfront Collection South, adding 28 rooms to our hotel with an additional front desk offering an even more personalized experience for our guests.
With all of our updates, we now have 84 guest rooms and suites with varying views, room styles, and price points. As we strive to meet the changing needs of our guests, we continue improvements to the property.
In 2020, we saw a need for a fun place for families and friends to get together for a great meal and amazing drinks, so we added Great Turtle Brewery and Distillery across the street from our South building. Our vision continues to grow and 2021 will bring a complete rebranding of our flagship restaurant, Winchester’s, as it becomes Winchester’s Whiskey and Bourbon Room. We will still offer great dining, but with an updated atmosphere that will take you back to the days of prohibition when alcohol had to be prescribed to be legally consumed.
